Norfolk Dinghy Class Trophies

The 21st Anniversary Challenge Cup – presented by Mr R O Clark in 1952
To the winner of the annual championship

The Novice’s Cup – from the late R O Clark’s estate
To be won by the helmsman with the best result in the annual championship who has not previously won a major trophy in the Class; to be held for one year, the winner to be ineligible thereafter

Percival Plate – Presented by Mrs.G.Percival
Awarded to the winning Norfolk helmsman in the first race points series held at Thorpe from October to Year end

Stewart & Patteson Challenge Cup – Presented by the directors of Stewart & Patteson Ltd
Awarded to the winning Norfolk helmsman in the first race points series held at Thorpe from New Year to Season end

The Foulsham Fool Trophy – Presented by Mr.G.Moyse.
Awarded to the winning Norfolk helmsman in the second race points series (Series 4) held at Thorpe from New Year to Season end

Claude Heath Trophy – Presented by Mrs.G.Heath
Awarded to the winning Norfolk helmsman on Rum Punch Sunday 

Clabburn Trophy – Presented by Mr.J.Clabburn in 1967 in memory of the late Mr.W.L.Clabburn
Awarded to the winning Norfolk helmsman in the All Day Event

Breydon Challenge Cup – Presented by Mr.L.R.Ramuz
Awarded to the winning Norfolk helmsman of the race to the Power Station site and back

Leigh Trophy – Presented by Mr.J.Collins & Mr. A.Edwards
Awarded to winning Norfolk helmsman on points for all Downriver class races Thorpe to Downstream finish line as set by OOD

Ladies Challenge Trophy – Presented by Mr.& Mrs.J.G.Fawcett
Awarded to the winning Lady helmsman of a special race held in Norfolk dinghies

Yare ChallengeTrophy – Presented by Mr.Herbert Woods in 1938
Awarded to the Norfolk helmsman with most points throughout the winter season for Class races on the Yare, from the following Series:- Percival Plate, Stewart & Patterson Cup, Leigh Trophy & Coldham Hall Regatta NOD’s races

Bonito Trophy – Presented by Mr.T.Mackley
Awarded to the Norfolk helmsman aged 60 years or greater at start of season, with most points throughout the winter season for Class races on the Yare, from the following Series:- Percival Plate, Stewart & Patterson Cup, Leigh Trophy & Coldham Hall Regatta NOD’s races

Junior Challenge Cup – Presented by Mr.A.E.Burrell
Awarded to the winning helmsman aged 18 years or under, in Junior Race(s) held in Norfolk Dinghies

The Broom Challenge Cup – Presented by Mr.B.C.Broom
Awarded to the winning helmsman aged 18 years or under in the Junior Race held at Coldham Hall Regatta sailed in Norfolk dinghies

Beccles Amateur Sailing Club Trophies

Bacchante Trophy – for club series racing in summer series B & C

The Norfolk Trophy – for annual Norfolk Open sailed at Beccles

The Jubilee Trophy – for class races at Beccles Regatta

The Helene James Cup – for women helms and helms under 18 sailed on Tuesday of Beccles Regatta

The Mascall Pensioners Pint – an extract of the Jubilee Trophy for helms over 65

Marks Cup – presented by Mr A Marks in 1947 to NBYC
Sailed for at the May Norfolk Dinghy weekend at NBYC; (originally restricted to NYBC members)

Yare and Bure Sailing Club Cup – presented by the Yare and Bure Sailing Club
Sailed for at the June Norfolk Dinghy weekend at NBYC; open to all listed owners

The Halcyon Trophy – presented to NBYC by Dr J V Morris, reallocated to the Norfolk Dingies in 1967
Awarded on points for Saturday racing at NBYC

The Benjamin Crowe Challenge Cup – presented by Dr Nigel Crowe and Mr H W Crowe to NBYC
Awarded on points for Saturday racing at NBYC

The Namah Challenge Trophy – presented to NBYC by Mr and Mrs M C Broom to replace the Wroxham Challenge Cup won outright by M C Broom in 1965
To be won three years in succession or four years in all by one owner in the same boat; sailed for during Wroxham Week

The Clock Trophy – from the late R O Clark’s estate
To be raced for in the morning race during Wroxham Week, the best five results to count (ie one discard); open to listed helmsmen only
